Get Noticed for Good

Get Noticed is an interactive workshop that provides individuals and organizations with strategies and tools to promote their programs and initiatives to prospective participants, parents and the public. Learn strategies and tactics to help your program standout and get noticed (by the media and other stakeholders) even if you don’t have a marketing and PR team.

The goal of this session is to leave attendees with:

1. Strategies to promote their people, programs and events to the media

2. Tips on locating nontraditional funding opportunities

3. Tools to engage current and prospective program participants.

Rasheda Kamaria Williams is our presenter for this session. She is a driven communications strategist and media relations professional with a passion for mentoring and empowering youth. She is the founder and chief empowering officer for Empowered Flower Girl, a social enterprise on a mission to transform the way young people relate to one another and themselves. Rasheda has nearly 20 years’ experience in the education, non-profit and philanthropic sectors having worked with and consulted national and global organizations and institutions, including Kumon Math and Reading Centers, the Ford Motor Company Fund, the International Bullying Prevention Association and her alma mater, Wayne State University.
