The 7 Strengths Model for Success: Embracing and Using the Power of Social Emotional Learning and Literacy to Change Children’s Lives
Pam Allyn will share a powerful model for integrating social emotional learning and literacy best practices for after school and summer hours: all the times that matter most and where children and young adults can advance rapidly as learners, as readers, as writers and as strong, confident young people. With the 7 Strengths, Pam has built curriculum and best practices that support children at all levels of literacy learning to achieve their best goals and outcomes. In this session, Pam will share the ways we can use authentic texts and authentic writing experiences to help all children share their stories, read deeply and widely and engage with academic learning to profoundly improve achievement through deep and meaningful engagement with literacy.
